Flying Fibers

🌟 🛍 🏷

Flying Fibers is brought to you by the mother-daughter team of Jeri Robinson-Lawrence and Irina Lawrence Mathias. They honor and celebrate diversity and inclusion while welcoming everyone to their little corner of the world. Both women are passionate about providing beautiful fiber products to crafters of any skill, as well as promoting the preservation of rare breed sheep. In addition to owning the shop, Jeri and Irina have a flock of North American Wensleydale, Leicester Longwool, and rare breed Shetland sheep just outside the shop window on their farm in York County, PA. Flock yarns are always available along with yarns they manufacture and hand-dye including Yorkshire Medley, a DK and Fingering weight yarn that is a blend of Wensleydale and Blue Faced Leicester and Seadale, a worsted weight yarn composed of Wensleydale and Manx Loaghtan. Also, in the shop are products from Brooklyn Tweed, Kelbourne Woolens, and more! They also provide the hand spinner and felter with the largest selection of roving in Central Pennsylvania. These two women are extremely passionate about the fiber arts and are regularly willing to share their knowledge and expertise with whoever desires.

PassionKNITSyarn

🌟

My name is Ain (sounds like Ine or Ein) Munn (sounds like fun or run) and PassionKNITS Yarn is my labor of love.

We specialize in hand-dyed yarns on a variety of weights and base with bold, vibrant and imaginative colors. As a child, I learned to crochet, and fell in love with yarn, from my grandmother and aunt while growing up in Queens, NY. I fell in love with yarn again when I took my first knitting class at a local yarn shop and a beginner dyeing class at a Baltimore Yarn Store.

I developed an appreciation for luxury yarns as I learned more about knitting and experimenting with dyeing. My colorways are inspired by my memories and moods, infused with passion, and limited only by imagination. My colorway names reflect different facets of my life, to include my childhood, love of music and my active imagination.

Currently I develop small sets of each colorway but am more than happy to make bigger batches by request.

There are an endless combination of fibers and colors to play with so if someone prefers a colorway made with a different weight or type of fiber, I may be able to do that as well.

Queen City Yarn

🛍  🏷

We are two friends, Janis and Christen, brought together in the Queen City of Charlotte by our love for knitting and yarn. Casual wine and dye nights together nurtured our passion for putting color to skein. Now we want to share that passion with you! Our products start with one of eight great yarn bases, each named for a neighborhood in the Queen City that reflects their personality. Seven of these bases are commercially spun superwash yarns.

The colors we apply are inspired by the beautiful things we see around us, breathtaking places we have visited, as well as Christen's two young children. While each color we produce can stand on its own, one of the guiding principles of color development at Queen City Yarn is designing coordinating colorways as well as colors that beautifully contrast one another. We want to make choosing colors for projects easy, whether it be for a gorgeous fade or perfect color pop.

Handdyed yarns and fibers.

Lise Condis is a mix of Greek, French and Syrian blood. Born in Switzerland and raised in Greece, she was from an early age influenced from different cultures, ideas and mentalities. Growing up, Lise would battle between Science and Arts as she wanted to become a veterinarian or a painter. Destiny, made her an Optometrist when she decided not to pursue an artistic career after passing the entry examinations of the Beaux Arts.

However, when she learned how to knit and crochet she discovered a new fibery world, and more importantly, she came across after an head injury that she could dye and spin her own yarn. It was an epiphany, Science and Color made peace in her mind and TréLiz was born. Lise is interested in creating unique colorways, in a limited quantity. She specializes in luxurious hand dyed yarns and fibers, and a few handknitted items! Enjoy!
