The inspiration for the colorful design on the sweater is from watching the film Saturday Night Fever and reminiscing about the fun times at roller discos in the 1970s and 80s when bright and fluorescent neon colors were popular. The front of the sweater will have a roller skate and stars images with lettering, "Let the good times Roll". The back will have stars images.

The front, back and sleeves of Let The Good Times Roll sweater are worked flat and knitted separately in pieces, then seamed together after completion. The back and front pieces are knit using the intarsia colorwork technique and the sleeves are knit in stocking stitch in a stripe pattern. The sweater has a slightly cropped length and is intended to have positive ease with modified drop shoulder sleeves.

There will be pattern for stripy leg warmers too.

The yarn is a DK/Worsted weight. Gauge using La Bien Aimée Merino DK is 22 st and 33 rows for 10 cm/ 4" after blocking using 3.5 mm/US 4 needles.

The first 100 registrants of Floxsie's Roller Skating Party will receive the patterns for free. After 100 registered guests, the add-on will become available during registration. Instructions for accessing the pattern will be sent by email on Friday, October 14th, 2022.
