Flying Fibers

Flying Fibers is brought to you by the mother-daughter team of Jeri Robinson-Lawrence and Irina Lawrence Mathias. They honor and celebrate diversity and inclusion while welcoming everyone to their little corner of the world. Both women are passionate about providing beautiful fiber products to crafters of any skill, as well as promoting the preservation of rare breed sheep. In addition to owning the shop, Jeri and Irina have a flock of North American Wensleydale, Leicester Longwool, and rare breed Shetland sheep just outside the shop window on their farm in York County, PA. Flock yarns are always available along with yarns they manufacture and hand-dye including Yorkshire Medley, a DK and Fingering weight yarn that is a blend of Wensleydale and Blue Faced Leicester and Seadale, a worsted weight yarn composed of Wensleydale and Manx Loaghtan. Also, in the shop are products from Brooklyn Tweed, Kelbourne Woolens, and more! They also provide the hand spinner and felter with the largest selection of roving in Central Pennsylvania. These two women are extremely passionate about the fiber arts and are regularly willing to share their knowledge and expertise with whoever desires.

We are a Brooklyn-based band of buns devoted to the awesomeness of angoras. All of our handspun yarns are as unique as the rabbit from which they came, mirroring each bun's distinctive personality and charm. Proceeds from all bunny creations go to caring for these magical little creatures, and a portion of all sales is donated to Brooklyn-based animal rescue in our Cute for a Cause initiative.

Queen City Yarn

We are two friends, Janis and Christen, brought together in the Queen City of Charlotte by our love for knitting and yarn. Casual wine and dye nights together nurtured our passion for putting color to skein. Now we want to share that passion with you! Our products start with one of eight great yarn bases, each named for a neighborhood in the Queen City that reflects their personality. Seven of these bases are commercially spun superwash yarns.

The colors we apply are inspired by the beautiful things we see around us, breathtaking places we have visited, as well as Christen's two young children. While each color we produce can stand on its own, one of the guiding principles of color development at Queen City Yarn is designing coordinating colorways as well as colors that beautifully contrast one another. We want to make choosing colors for projects easy, whether it be for a gorgeous fade or perfect color pop.
