In this unique technique workshop, we will demonstrate the German Short Row (GSR), and then show how to employ GSRs to create the Sand Art Technique in a poncho-style shrug.
Supplies Needed:
- At least 5 colorways in same weight of yarn
- Needles appropriate to yarn weight
- Scissors
Homework:

Fingering and mohair scraps, held together throughout. Or, please bring whichever yarn weight you prefer and an appropriate needle gauge for that yarn. We will be working flat, so either straight or circular needles will work.
US6/4mm needle or the needle gauge for the yarn you will use, cast one 50 stitches.
Work 6 to 8 rows of stockinette (knit one row, purl one row)
