Let’s create collage landscapes with fabric! Learn how to create your own fabric landscape using applique embroidery with fiber artist Melissa Galbraith of MCreativeJ. This two-hour, hands-on workshop will cover how to pair fabrics to create your own unique landscapes, basic applique and beginner-friendly embroidery stitches like the running stitch, satin stitch, chain stitch, and fly stitch. Each participant will need the supplies listed below to get the best experience from this amazing class!

Supplies Needed:

• embroidery hoop
• a piece of cotton fabric larger than the embroidery hoop (if the hoop is a 5 inch circle, a 7x7 inch piece of fabric is recommended)
• additional cotton fabrics in the colors of your desired landscape (fabric scraps work great for this!)
• embroidery thread that compliments your desired landscape
• scissors
• sewing pins
• an embroidery needle
• a transfer pen (optional, I prefer the pilot frixion erasable pens)

Homework:

• think of landscape ideas and choose colors similar to those for your project
