This session will be recorded and provided to all registrants of the class within 24 hours of the scheduled end time of the session and will be available to view for two full weeks (until December 3rd, 2022).

Suitable for those who have made a few mittens and those just tackling their first pair, this session is all about making sure your mittens are beautiful and your hands are warm. We’ll talk about yarn choice and strategies for warmth, including clever solutions for making insulating linings. We’ll address common questions and challenges, including how to determine the right size for comfort and warmth, and how to deal with those pesky holes at the base of the thumb. You’ll leave the class with a mitten pattern for all your needs, and your questions answered. Winter is coming, after all!

Materials: Have on hand some medium-weight scrap yarn in a light color, 4-5mm/US#6-8 needles in your preferred configuration for making mittens, a couple of stitch markers and a short length of a contrast color

No homework.
