I am a Detroit based knitwear designer and instructor. Like many knitters, I was introduced to the fiber arts as a child by my grandmother, and became hooked from the very beginning. Knitting and crochet have been a constant companion and creative outlet for me, as well as a way to center myself and relieve anxiety. My education background is in Fine Arts and my design philosophy is organic; I do my best work when I allow the pattern to unfold as I knit, so I approach each new design like an art project. I am passionate about sharing my love of knitting in a way that is accessible to knitters of all levels. Process photos and video tutorials come standard in my patterns to give beginners the tools they need to knit bravely. I have a hunger for new techniques and I am forever evolving as an instructor and designer. In my free time. you will find me at home, enjoying the company of my husband Brian, our two daughters, Viviana and Juniper, and our cats.
