Description

A provisional cast on is a temporary cast on method that is designed to be removable, so you can decide how you want to finish off your knitting later on in the project. We’ll introduce you to the provisional cast on, covering why this method is used, the benefits of this cast on method and how useful it can be to you and your knitting aesthetic. You’ll get to see this process in action using two different provisional cast on methods with helpful tips from an expert knitter to help you work through this technique from start to finish. What you’ll need to follow along: 2 colors of worsted weight yarn (shy away from the ‘splitty’ types) 4, 4.5, or 5mm crochet hook. 4.5 or 5mm 16” circular needles
