9:30 PM - 11:30 PM EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME
Cables, intricate as they may seem, are actually not so scary! At the beginning of this hands-on class, you’ll get an introduction to the world of cables and the variations you can create by viewing samples of different hats. Next, we’ll go over the basics of how to read cables on paper and prepare you to tackle them in any pattern. Once we’ve covered the basics of cables, it’s time to start knitting! You’ll spend time starting your hat pattern and get to ask any questions you have as you go through the beginning of the cable hat pattern. After this class, we're confident that you will look at the majestic, winding, and twisting works of art as a new tool in your knitting toolbox. Time to harness this skill and imbue it with your essence of creativity. Let's do this!
Supplies needed for the class:
- US 7 (4.5mm) 16in circular needles (any material)
- US 7 (4.5mm) DPNs (any material)
- Cable needle or similar size (anything similar like a DPN)
- At least 2 stitch markers, identical are ideal (*these are optional and are used for added specificity)
- Worsted weight yarn (2 ply and above recommended, solid color ideal, at least 50 yards)

Homework for the class:
