5:30 PM - 7:30 PM EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME
In this class we will discuss the anatomy of a sock, determining which size sock one should knit, types of toes, heels, and various modifications made to create a well-fitting sock and techniques to create a more durable sock. In this class, the student will also become familiar with the Magic Loop Technique which is used to knit socks.
Supplies Needed:
- Sock: About 50 g of light-colored DK or worsted weight yarn if you want to practice casting on or any other portion of sock construction
- US Size 4 needles
- stitch marker(s)
- pen or pencil and paper to take notes
Homework: To allow the cast to progress, the student should cast on the required number of stitches for the project (TBD).
